ABOUT
About TeXAnt
TeXAnt is an independent LaTeX editor for iPad and iPhone, made so you can write, compile and read your documents anywhere, without depending on a server.
How it is built
- On your device. Documents compile with a LuaTeX engine inside the app. Your files are never uploaded to TeXAnt.
- Your own accounts. Cloud sync, Git and reference managers connect to accounts you already have. Files go to your storage and nowhere else.
- Your own AI key. The AI assistant is optional and uses a key you add. Requests go straight to the provider you chose.
- No ads and no tracking. There are no ad networks and no third-party analytics in the app. Diagnostics are off unless you turn them on. See the Privacy page.
- Paid by its users. TeXAnt is funded by subscriptions and one-time purchases, not by advertising. See Pricing.
Open source inside
TeXAnt is built on open-source work, most of all TeX Live and the LuaTeX engine. Each component keeps its own licence, and the full list is in the app under Settings → About.
