TeXAnt doubles down on native mobile LuaTeX
The product roadmap continues to reinforce TeXAnt’s strongest claim: real LuaTeX and LuaHBTeX on iOS and Android, with native helper pipelines around it.
The roadmap inside TeXAnt is unusually consistent.
The app is not trying to become a thin remote shell for someone else’s compiler. Instead, ongoing work continues to strengthen native compilation on device with helper pipelines for bibliography, glossary, index and multi-pass document handling.
That includes support around: BibTeX and Biber-lite flows, makeindex-like and glossary-like native helpers, adaptive rerun logic for tables of contents, references, algorithms and beamer metadata, and package and font management shaped around real TeX projects.
For users, the headline remains the same: the core compile loop stays close to the editor, the preview and the device you already have in your hands.
